Celebrate the USA!

I'm finally getting caught up with the Scrapbooking....not there yet but I'm closer! These photos are from July 2010, Independence Day Parade in Argos, Indiana. My grandsons were part of the parade along with their parents! The paper was a good value purchased from Target's Dollar Spot along with the stickers! I created the "Ribbon" from Stampin' Up's Real Red and the Circle Cutter. Ian, Dylan and Jackson are on the floats and Amy and Joe are featured in the circles! It's always fun to have a celebration! We followed up the parade with a BBQ!
Happy Birthday America!

PPA82- Scallops

PPA82- Scallops! I originally used this design for some bridal shower invites and it also makes a great card for a wedding! I started with Whisper White card stock and cut it in the shape of a bridal dress. I then stamped "Swirls" on the dress from Stampin' Up's Priceless stamp set with Versa Mark, tossed on the Iridescent Ice and used the Heat Tool to start the embossing. The dress is then layered on Basic Black. The Eyelet Border punch is used to create a lace effect.
The ribbon on the dress is from left over ribbon from my daughter's wedding that we used to tie up table favors. You could use any color hearts to coordinate with the bridal party colors!
It's fun to play at the PPA!

All Occasion Card

This card was created by Lynn Put and her blog is at: www.thequeensscene.blogspot.com
I just loved the Vintage look and had to create one for myself!

I stamped "friend to friend" from the Teeny Tiny Wishes but you could also use: Get Well Soon, Happy Birthday, Happy Mother's Day, Happy Easter, Just for You....and many more!

I used Soft Suede for the card and embossed Pirouette Pink with the Vintage Wallpaper. I used Soft Suede ink and a sponge and dabbed the edges. Using the Elements of Style Stamp Set I stamped the flower in Soft Suede and colored it with a pink pencil. Stampin' Up's cutter kit was used to rough up the edges of the layers and then I sponged the sides with more Soft Suede ink.

The flower is a Hello Kitty die- I cut two of them and rolled the petals around a pencil to give them a dimensional look and those were also sponged with Soft Suede Ink. The Antique Brad was a little dark so I took some Whisper White ink on my finger and dabbed it on the brad. Pink grosgrain ribbon was added along with Basic Pearls in the top left corner.

Isn't it pretty? I can't wait to send it to a dear friend of mine!

Special Friend

Have a special friend and want to tell them how much they mean to you? Here's an easy card to create!

Stampin' Up has some great products and all their colors coordinate effortlessly. I used Perfect Plum Card Stock and layered Purple Plum Designer Paper on Whisper White. This DP is from last season. I can't afford to buy every new item that comes out... I'd like too, but just can't and I'm sure others feel the same way. I try and use what I have before I purchase new stuff...doesn't always work! Anyway, I then used a Concord Crush Marker because it's a little darker color to stamp the flowers. Concord Crush was also used for the My Friend stamp which was later punched out with the Curly Label Punch! Whisper White Organza Ribbon completes the look along with a butterfly accented with two pearls! The butterfly is cut with the Beautiful Wings Embosslit Die.

You could use any card stock color and designer paper that matches. Pretty in Pink would be fabulous along with Tempting Turquoise, Regal Rose or Bashful Blue! Give it a try!

Stampin' Up Items used:
